Kutsu Point
Aerial view of Kutsu Point ringed by forest on its forty private acres

The lodge

A micro mountain resort, all to yourselves.

Six bedrooms, eleven beds, and 40 private acres at 9,310 feet. Everything sixteen people need to gather, settle in, and stay a while.

The carved Kutsu Point summit marker at 9,310 feet, on the property's rocky high point above a wide Rocky Mountain view

The top of the ridge

9,310 feet, and it says so on the rock.

Kutsu Point is the high point of its own ridge. Forty acres of pine and granite that end where the view begins, marked by a sign the family carved themselves. This is the whole of it, and for your week it is entirely yours.

Inside the geodesic dome: ping pong, a basketball arcade game, and a glass roof open to the Colorado sky

The signature

One dome, and no one wants to leave it.

A thousand square feet of enclosed pavilion under a glass geodesic roof: pool table, ping pong, and a basketball arcade game. It is why the kids disappear for hours, and why the grown-ups follow them in.

One of two full kitchens, with a chef's range, double ovens, and an island the cooks gather around

The heart of the house

Two kitchens, two living rooms, endless corners.

Cook two dinners at once or one very big one. A chef's range, double ovens, deep couches, and long tables mean sixteen people can be together, or find a quiet corner, without ever feeling on top of each other.

The outdoor kitchen on the patio, looking out over forested ridges toward the Pikes Peak massif

Outside

Grill with a view, hot tub at dusk, fire pit after dark.

An outdoor kitchen that looks straight at the mountains, wraparound patios, a hot tub, a fire pit, and forty private acres of ponderosa pine. The land is yours for the week, marked trails and all.

The property, from above

Forty acres, and every foot of it yours.

Photographs flatten it. From the air you can finally read the whole place: one lodge alone on its ridge, the glass geodesic dome beside it, trails threading forty private acres of ponderosa. Hover the ridge to see what is where.
